Damien is the CEO of a the company， Kelsey is his assistant。 He's can't keep an assistant until she sticks around。 She's great at her job， because she's dedicated and hard working。 But then she has major financial obligations to motivate her。 Damien is fortunate to have her， truly， and what with her having no social life， and being alive， he can even press Kelsey to be his plus one， at the last second， to a party where he can work a major business deal。 And they do manage the party well， but som Damien is the CEO of a the company， Kelsey is his assistant。 He's can't keep an assistant until she sticks around。 She's great at her job， because she's dedicated and hard working。 But then she has major financial obligations to motivate her。 Damien is fortunate to have her， truly， and what with her having no social life， and being alive， he can even press Kelsey to be his plus one， at the last second， to a party where he can work a major business deal。 And they do manage the party well， but someone has a surprise for them later that night。。。 inadvertently accepting a drugged bottle of champaign， their worlds are flipped upside down， never to be the same again。On the whole， I enjoyed the book。 It took some very interesting turns。 [Flores was great。] It was easy to be drawn into the story， and you can read it in a day。 Once we learn enough about Damien and Kelsey， we like them both tremendously。 Still， it's a challenge to come back from the hole Damien has dug himself in the first half of it。 Plus there are elements that strain the ability to suspend disbelief。 If you can just go with those， loose ends are wrapped up in the end， and it's a solid HEA。I'm going to call it 3。5 stars， but leaning to 4 because it was enjoyable altogether。 I received a free advance copy of this story to read， and my review is voluntary。 。。。more
